- HONOUR STUDENT. - Kakyoin goes out of his way to present an image of perfection. He wears his uniform properly, despite spending the bulk of the series in settings where nobody would expect him to be wearing a school uniform, and a few times can be seen taking time to maintain his appearance even in the middle of crisis. He goes out of his way to show off, whether it’s his knowledge or his skill in a range of areas. Anyone older than him he treats with deference, and he’s pleasant and strives to seem competent and kind toward people closer in age to him. Until he gets to know them, at least. Then the mask can afford to slip a little.
- LOYAL. - Though Kakyoin appears to be well-liked by others because of his need to seem perfect, he’s spent all his life isolated despite being popular and surrounded by friends because of his belief that none of them would believe him if he told them about his stand powers and that even if they did, they’d reject him for being different. Once he encounters people who believe him and don’t reject him, he’s immediately willing to throw away everything to help them. Even when the worst happens and he experiences them doubting and rejecting him, all his thoughts are of protecting them. He can unflinchingly gamble his soul and face down death for their sakes. And he’s willing to let them see him as imperfect. Maybe. A little.
- PROUD. - While the wellbeing of his newfound friends is his greatest motivation, Kakyoin is also motivated by the fact that Dio once scared him. He’s constantly working to overcome the shame of this, despite other characters being similarly fearful. Because he uses the appearance of perfection to protect himself, any break in that perfection makes him vulnerable in a way he finds unbearable. He has to be right at all times. He has to win the most petty of arguments. And while this motivates him and drives him to be a powerful ally, it also leads to him making mistakes and being unreasonable. He almost loses his eyesight because he reacts indignantly to a teammate telling him they don’t want to do a task he’s better suited for.
- RUTHLESS. - Despite appearing to be the nicest of the crusaders on a surface level, Kakyoin is cruel and uncompromising and more willing than his companions to do whatever needs to be done to keep everyone alive, to win, or just to punish those who would hurt his friends. He’s the first of the crusaders to explicitly kill a villain, the one who knows how to steal a car. He’s outright joyful about his part in helping a friend kill their sister’s murderer. Even toward his friends, he’s willing to fuck with all their heads to punish them for doubting him. And sometimes he stirs shit into baby food, because the baby had it coming.
- Throwing rocks. - Hierophant has an ability called ‘Emerald Splash’. It’s basically just ‘shooting a target with a whole bunch of shiny rocks’. It’s capable of using its tentacles to form a spiderweb-like trap that shoots these rocks when touched.
- Possession. - By crawling into a target’s body and physically puppeting it around, Hierophant can control people. Kakyoin avoids doing this throughout the series, probably because his newfound friends disapprove. OOCly, I won’t be doing this without the permission of the victim for obvious reasons.
- Information gathering. - Hierophant can extend itself so thin as to be invisible and can relay information from a wide distance back to Kakyoin.
- Intelligence. - Because he’s made it his mission in life to be seen as perfect, Kakyoin has gone out of his way to gather a wide range of knowledge and skills. He can recognise the difference between types of primate on sight. He can make a pancake breakfast in the middle of the desert. He can recite the rules of sumo. He can hotwire a car. If he sends you a death threat, he’ll take the time to annotate it just to be certain that you don’t misread it. He can also think quickly, using Hierophant’s abilities to create traps and control the environment.
- Pretty good at video games. - He’s pretty good at videogames, and they seem to be one of the few pastimes that he indulges in because he genuinely enjoys them rather than just to show off. Against an opponent who had previously beaten a world champion in games, he’s apparently the one who gave him the most challenge and only loses because said opponent was able to predict his movements by reading his mind.
- Cool gamer shades.
- A pocket knife.

Disposition:
Under pressure: The biggest change, aside from the lack of daily life-or-death conflicts - that one honestly won’t affect Kakyoin nearly as much as it probably ought to - is that the characters people pick for RP are a lot more likely than the average person to be sensitive to stands. Having an overwhelming amount of people be able to see Hierophant Green is going to be both terrifying and exciting to Kakyoin. It means he’s vulnerable in a way he never has been before, but it also means he’s no longer nearly as isolated as he once was. It means that continuing to divide people up into people who can see stands (either friends or enemies, no in-between) and people who can’t (irrelevant) isn’t going to work for him.
As a result of his death, he’s coming in with a mentality that everything that happens is now out of his hands. Until he makes new friends, he’ll be slipping into his old routine of performing perfection and no amount of crisis is likely to break that. Once he makes new friends, their protection, wellbeing and aims are going to be his main priority. While this makes it difficult to predict what his aims are going to be, since they’ll be dependent on other players, it’s safe to assume that he’ll be willing to do some pretty wild shit to achieve them.
He is going to be eager to seek out people to produce Manna with, because he wouldn’t be able to deal with being separated from his stand.
Condition upon arrival: Kakyoin will be arriving post-death, with a selection of more minor injuries and a large hole where he should probably have an abdomen. He won’t be aggressive toward his rescuers, but early on he will be incredibly insistent that they all know a list of facts about a being he calls ‘The World’.
Abilities: Kakyoin is what his canon calls a ‘stand user’, meaning that his fighting spirit manifests as a creature he calls Hierophant Green. Hierophant Green is a humanoid creature that can unravel itself into a collection of tentacles. He can only be seen by other stand users, but I’m choosing to extend that to ‘anyone sensitive to spiritual nonsense’ in order to allow people from other canons to choose whether or not they can see him. As a result, the ability to see him is going to be up to the other player.

Notes: Due to being an extension of himself rather than a separate being, I believe that Hierophant will count as an ability that uses Manna rather than a pet or familiar.
