A valid claim. Thank you for recognising snails as the molluscs they are and not as insects. It's very troubling when people call them bugs.

Anyway. Morioh's beaches were nice.

A lot of people do seem to think that snails are bugs. I met someone once who didn't like the idea of escargot, because they said they didn't want to put insects in their mouth. And yet they were wearing lipstick! They thought that snails are bugs and that beetles aren't!

I guess they don't know what carmine is. Or what half the shit they put in beauty products are. But most people don't know the difference between insects and bugs so I'm not really surprised.

I concede. Point well made - they’re not bugs either. But beetles are at least in the same class as bugs.

I never really spent much time on the beaches, back home. If you’ve been near them any amount of time, it’s probably been longer than me.

Ah. My thesis is on a species of starfish found in Morioh, so a lot of my free time went to that. I probably ended up there more often than I realized. But I went there a few times just because, too.
